  • Cantonese vS Manderin

So Im bored at uNI in the library cause Ive been reminded that I have a 3pm lecture -_-

Sitting here looking around theres 2 chinese girls...obviously international. My uni has so many international student from China. Why CHina? What happened to girls from HK...or anywhere else for that matter.

Its so weird when some china girl or guy comes up to you thinking you speak manderin and you just have a dumb look on your face..Why cant we tell the differences? :P I guess the best way to solve this problem would be to learn Manderin as well..

How do you respond? Well..you just do what mr rT does. When me and rT went to have some noodles or something, waitress comes up to us, '*manderin speaking here*' and rT replies,

'So what kind of noodles are there on this menu?' xD it was so funny..couldny laugh until she left. How do you respond to manderin? Totally ignore and speak..ENGLISH!!!Woo woo

  • Environmental Influence

So, in the MEC, the speaker Kenny Gan spoke about the environment. Not about birds and the trees but about OUR environment; what we live in everyday including our friends, our hobbies, the things we do! Kenny Gan then gave us a question which we should answer to ourselves...

    'Do your shape your environment?'

    OR

'Are you shaped by your environment?'

Just adding few words to a sentence can change the WHOLE meaning around. So do you change the way the environment around you or are you changed by the environment around you? Give it some thought...

Now what do you want to do about it?

  • MEC 2oo8

Soo, Midlands Easter Conference just ended! Whata awesome weekend it was! This definalty was a good highlight for 2oo8!

The MEC was a great opportunity to get back in contact with old friends who I've not spoken to in a while, as well as meeting new friends and getting to know them! But the greatest opportunity was to encounter God~Listening and talking to Him =)

The theme for this year was 'Living a Legacy' And I was like 'they can talk about so much on this topic right?' SO MUCH was talked about on this theme which linked with other discussions in small groups or in general conversations with friends during free time or dinner time!

Anyways I'll leave it at that. But its time to take RISKS!! If it fails, then dont do it again and try something new! If it works, YAY! =P

  • happiness..

'Would you want happiness based on someone elses misfortune?'

For some reason I thought of this 'quote'...and been thinking from time to time what my answer would be to this question....Would I really be happy with something if it meant someone else had to suffer? Its kinda difficult cause the extent of 'Happiness' and 'Suffering' is huge...and I guesss it depends on each individual. What would your answer be?

Anyways Im still crippled...Although Im able to put more pressure on my ankle now..swelling has gone down but still a bigg bruised ankle..The bruises itself dont hurt..but the areas around it still give pain when I put pressure on it...Im rather worried as to whether my bone has been affected or not....I pray that it hasn't, and that I'll recover soon so I can start playing basketball again and be prepared for the Leeds Games.

Been indoors for 3 days now..MANNN its boring....So excuse me if I bug you on MSN every so often a day! =P

    Anyways peaCe Out
